Ruth Price of Campbellsville, Ky, died at 2:05pmET, Friday, March 15, 2013, in Campbellsville, KY

Funeral services are at 11amCT/12pm noon Monday, March 18, 2013, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Robbie Spencer. Burial will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Justin Campbell, Mike Cox, Chris Davis, Marty Mitchell, Russ Skaggs, and Ben Spencer.

Ruth Price, daughter of the late Shelby Bottoms and Alice Greer Bottoms, was born in Taylor County, KY, Wednesday, March 7, 1923. She died at Friday, March 15, 2013, in Campbellsville, KY, at the age of 90 years, 8 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY. She united in marriage to Archie Price April 18, 1945. He preceded her in death May 10, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Bobby Price and wife, Monica, Beverly Davis, and Peggy Cox and husband, Larry of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Eighteen great grandchildren

  • One great great granddaughter

  • Three sisters and one brother: Mary Nelson of Louisville, KY; Rita Nelson Cobb and Margaret Shively of Campbellsville, KY; and J. D. Bottoms of Texas City, Texas

  • One aunt: Blanche Kerr of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Janet Campbell and Brenda Sue Price; three sisters and four brothers: Carolyn Thompson, Leona Hughes, Hazel Beasley, James Bottoms, Lenny Bottoms, Ralph "Oakley" Bottoms, and Ronald Bottoms.
