Shelby, a smart border collie is available for adoption

Shelby hitchhiked from Jacksonville, Florida to Elizabethtown, KY with her owner, who had to leave her behind. Now she's ready to be a working farm dog and is a great agility prospect, or pet for a family who needs a smart dog.

By Peg Schaeffer

Shelby is a 3 year old spayed female Border Collie. Her owner hitch hiked from Jacksonville, FL to Elizabethtown, KY with her. Then he had to leave her behind. She's a sweetheart and wants to work. I'll look out the window and she'll have the ponies grouped together and won't let them move.

If you're looking for a working farm dog or an agility prospect she's the girl for you. Border Collies are very active and need to be kept busy. She's great with children and other dogs. She is housebroken and up to date with her vaccines. All dogs adopted from Sugarfoot Farm Rescue are microchippped when adopted. For more information contact Peg Schaeffer 270-378-4521 or email: peg@sugarfootfarm.com.
