Lindsey Wilson Volleyball Extends Winning Streak to 10 Latest victories over over Milligan and St. Andrews News from Lindsey Wilson College MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (2012-09-22) - The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team ran its winning streak to 10 straight today with a pair of wins during a tri-match with Milligan College of Johnson City, TN and St. Andrews College, NC. The Blue Raiders improve to 12-6 on the season with the 3-0 win over Milligan and the 3-1 win over St. Andrews. In today's first match, Sarah Anderson, Courtney Doyle and Kailey Moorhead combined for 25 kills and a .500 hitting percentage to lead the Blue Raiders to a 25-16, 21-25, 25-7, 25-15 win over St. Andrews. While Lindsey Wilson played well in each of the three sets it won, the Blue Raiders were dominant in the pivotal third set. As a team, Lindsey Wilson committed just one error in 21 swings and finished with a .571 attacking percentage in the set. The Blue Raiders scored the first seven points in the set -- three on kills by Doyle -- and 12 of the first 16 points en route to the easy 25-7 win. Andrea Taylor led the Blue Raiders with 26 assists while Alyssa Cuthbert added 25 assists. Angela Mlachnik and Kellie Ranney combined for 24 digs in the back line. In today's finale, Doyle finished with a match-high 17 kills while Moorhead and Taylor Hayne each added eight in a sweep (25-18, 25-17, 25-20) of host Milligan.
