Mary's House: God's amazing grace is at work in our community Total now at $33,393.00 !!! At 12:05pmCT, Friday, August 3, 2012, Fran Neat reports that an as yet anonymous donor has just given Debbie White a $300 check for Mary's House.
By Fran Neat God's amazing grace is at work in our community. You have told me over and over how much you desire to help Mary's family, and you are! We all can recall when times were hard. I remember once when my husband, Don, and I were attending Campbellsville College and living at 104 Floyd Street in Campbellsville. Money was very slim to say the least. I can clearly remember and now can just see my parents, "Blue" and Ina Humphress, coming through the backdoor carrying a bag of groceries, a carton of drinks, and handing us a $20 bill (which was a lot of money in 1970.) It is because of these experiences that we can identify with the needs of others. Right here, right now, we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus and extend agape love to Mary and her children. May each of you be truly blessed in your giving. - FRAN NEAT. Here's how you can help Mary's House: the story and the contacts: Cane Valley Christian Church, along with a group of concerned citizens, is raising money to build a new house for Mary McGuffin, a single, working mother with seven children, whose house recently burned. All donations will be escrowed until 100% of the funds are raised. Land and labor have already been donated. Checks are to be made to Cane Valley Christian Church Benevolence Fund with a memo of "Mary's House." Please make all donations by August 1 so that construction can begin. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the people listed below: - Jim Flowers - 270-634-1696; Melissa Fudge - 270-634-3603; Don Neat - 270-250-1512; Larry Neat - 270-789-7830; Debbie White - 270-384-5481We invite you to join us in this endeavor to provide Mary and her children with a new home. Many people are "on board" and very eager to help God bless Mary through this building project. God uses people, and He wants to bless others through you. As you respond to His prompting, you will be blessed! You may send your donations to either of the following: - MELISSA FUDGE, 480 Fire Department Lane, Breeding, KY 42715Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, - Larry Neat, Chairman, Home Building Project - LARRY NEAT This story was posted on 2012-08-04 10:36:39
