Adair Girls Golf defeats Cumberland, loses to Clinton

News from Adair County High School

Adair County (196) defeated Cumberland Co.(244) but lost to Clinton Co. (193) in a tri-match on Tuesday July 31, 2012, at Dale Hollow State Resort Park Golf Coure, 5790 State Park Road, Burkesville, KY

Adair was led by senior, Ashley Goodin (41). Ashley carded the low score of the day. Junior, Rachel Phipps followed with a 48, senior Abby Royse 52, and 7th grader Hailey Taylor 55, Freshman Madison Bell 66, 7th grader Lauren McQuaide 85.



Clinton Co. was led by Addison Bernard 47, Ansley Stalcup 47, Bree Boils 48, and Sam Stinson 51. Cumberland Co. was led by Keylee Stalcup 52, Brooklyn Wright 60, Molly Morgan 66, Holly Gross 66.

Coach's Comments - I had hoped we would come away with two wins but Clinton edged us out. This course is tough to play and walk so I cut our girls a little slack today. The Regional Tournament will be held at Dale Hollow this year so it is nice to get on this course to play a couple of times.
