ACHS Boy's Golf Place 4th In 2012 Dale Hollow Invitational Indians place 4th in competition with 25 teams from across the state. Great performances from Riley Grant (74), Alex Durham (78), Daniel Rarey (80), Trey Garmon (87) and Blake Maupin (87). Austin Cundiff, competing as individual has 81! By Steve Burton, Coach News from Adair County High School Boys Golf On Monday July 30, 2012, the ACHS Boy's Golf Team made a successful season debut by placing 4th in the Dale Hollow Invitational held at Dale Hollow Golf Course at Dale Hollow Lake State Park, 6371 State Park Road, Burkesville, KY. The field consisted of 25 teams from all around the state of Kentucky. The Indians carded a score of 319 to place them 4th behind Bowling Green, Louisville Male, and Champion Louisville Trinity. The Indians were led by Riley Grant's (74) and followed by Alex Durham's (78), Daniel Rarey's (80), and Trey Garmon and Blake Maupin both carded (87's) to round out the scoring. Austin Cundiff competed as an individual and carded a score (81). Coach's Comments - I am very pleased with our effort and where we are with our games right now, stated Coach Burton. This was a very tough field and we beat every team that competes in our region. I think we sent a message today that we are going to be a good team. After losing our senior star, Van Giles, to graduation, I think a lot of people expected us to be down this year. However, we proved today that our young guys are ready to step up to the plate for their turn to compete. I am very proud of Riley's 74. That was good enough for a tie for 4th place overall individually. Not a bad way to start off the season, - Coach Burton> This story was posted on 2012-07-31 06:42:27
