Recurrent Events posted for July 2012 Recurrent Events, those meetings on the CM Calendar which recur monthly for government meetings, organizations, and other functions, have been posted for July 2012. Help from the organizations to keep the CM Events Calendar, posted on Columbia Magazine.com and other participating sites, is greatly appreciated. If your organization is not participating, or if a meeting has been inadvertently overlooked on the July Calendar, please notify us using any Contact/Submit button button. Or, if you have any difficulties, please call 270-250-2730 and we will give guidance for posted via e-mail. Specific sequence, style, and contents (Always answers to 5 W's - Who? What? Why? Where? and When? with always, Street & Number for venue, required for postings) is adhered to. Some items which are not listed in CM events Please note, flyers and posters are advertising. Please note, requests for events postings from flyers and posters are advertising Submissions which have a business entity as primary beneficiary, are advertising Submissions in ALL CAPS are Advertising. Fundraisers which list a charge are advertising. For instance, a donations only fish fry, pig roast, or ham supper, are FREE. Those which list a charge should be sent as advertising Announcements which express a political or religious or other viewpoint are advertising. Announcements which urge an action or use an imperative are advertising. (Example: Be there or be square or Save our country from the insurance companies or Let's join together and fire Rep. Ed Asthma are advertising).Less is More in Events announcements Please remember that readers of the Events Calendar are often extremely very busy people: Less is More. Putting the information into a standard, succinct format is best. Please review for wordiness before submitting. Remember that today's Events goers want all the information, but they want it expressed in a concise manner. And clever and cutesy and questions are not part of a CM Free Announcement.
