Columbia Police investigate two meth labs

Two arrested after CPD investigates after plain clothes policeman witnesses purchase of meth ingredients at Columbia store. CPD says charges are forthcoming after 7 one-step labs found at residence

Lab investigated at 59 Joe R. Barbee Road, Columbia, KY, April 17, 2012:
On Tuesday, April 17. 2012, at approximately 5:44pmCT, the Columbia Police Department executed a search warrant at 59 Joe R Barbee Road in Columbia, KY Once inside the residence the officers located seven one step meth labs as well as drug paraphernalia. The home was occupied by Miles Coffee and charges are forthcoming. The Columbia Police Department was assisted by the HIDTA Drug Task Force and Desi West.

Jamie Young, 31, and Rebecca Sinkhorn, 25, charged; lodged in AC Regional Jail
On Friday, April 20 at approximately 11:30pmCT, after an investigation by the Columbia Police Department two were arrested for manufacturing meth. The investigation began when a Columbia plain clothes officer witnessed these individuals buying meth making components at Walmart. Upon conducting a traffic stop and further investigation Jamie Young, 31, and Rebecca Sinkhorn, 25, both of 6350 Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY, were arrested and charged with manufacturing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
