Calvin Joseph Asbury, Green Co., KY (1934-2012)

He was a member of the Louisville First Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a laborer for General Electric.

Mr. Calvin Joseph Asbury, 77, of Fairdale, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

There will be graveside services held at 3pmCT, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Hedgespeth Cemetery in Green County, Kentucky. Bro. Terry Carmichael will be officiating.



Calvin Joseph Asbury, Green Co., KY (1934-2012)

Mr. Calvin Joseph Asbury was the son of the late Bert Asbury and Velma Holley Asbury. He was born on Wednesday, September 13, 1934 in the Hardyville Community of Green County, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY Kentucky. He was 77 years, three months and 29 days of ageHe was a member of the Louisville First Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a laborer for General Electric.

He united in marriage to Betty Coulter in October of 2001 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Belinda and Myron Lewellen of Green County, and Judy and Steven Geary of Fairdale, KY

  • A step-son: Paul Dennis

  • A step-daughter: Debra Cunningham

  • Seven grandchildren: Amanda Hornback, April Scott both of Green County, KY; Steven Geary II, Samantha Geary both of Fairdale, KY; and Trinity Vincent, Gavin Vincent, and Randy Shephard all of Louisville, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Lauren Scott, James Scott, and Joshua Scott

  • Three sisters and a brother: America Pace of Horse Cave, KY; and Regina Russell, Judy Stevens, and Casbel Asbury all of Hardyville, KY

  • A special niece: Rita Devore

  • And a host of other relatives and friends

  • Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of the funeral arrangements.
