LWC Concert Band will present Christmas program Dec. 2, 2011

The Lindsey Wilson Concert Band, Tim Allen, conductor, will present a program at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY, at 7pmCT, Friday, December 2, 2011. Admission is free.

The program will cover many different musical styles and will be drawn from different time periods. From the 18 century French Christmas Carol, "Patapan" to the modern day version of "Merry Christmas, Darling", made popular by The Carpenters.

One special arrangement is entitled "Men of Good Will" by Benjamin Britten and is taken from the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps performance from 1991 and features the percussion section.



The complete program will include the following selections:
- Ukrainian Bell Carol:, arranged by Richard Saucedo
- Silent Night: arranged by Jay Dawson
- Pat-a-pan: arranged by Tom Wallace
- Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: arranged by Douglas Wagner
- Saxophone Soloists: Louis Jean Lanham and Frankie Brown
- Men of Good Will: arranged by Tim Allen and Doug Neal
- Jingle Bells: arranged by Jay Dawson
- Merry Christmas, Darling: arranged by Chris McDonald
There is something for everybody.
