Two die in two vehicle crash on KY 55 north of Lebanon, KY KSP Post 15 Columbia, KY reports deaths occurred when pickup truck attempts U-turn, pulls into pathway of Ford Log Truck. Troopers Fred Cornett and Dewayne Holder, CVE Officer Jason Morris, all of Post 15, investigate By Trooper Robert C. Walker, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY MARION CO., KY - Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a fatal collision that occurred at approximately 12:54pmET on KY 55, two miles north of Lebanon, KY. 54 year old Monte Edelen of Lebanon was operating a 1998 Ford pickup. Edelen was southbound on KY 55 and attempted to make a U-turn, pulling into the pathway of a 1993 Ford log truck, operated by 67 year old John Dowd of Owenton, KY. Dowd was treated and released at the Spring View Hospital. Edelen and a passenger, 89 year old Charles Edelen, also of Lebanon, were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marion County Coroner. All occupants were belted. Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by CVE Officer Jason Morris and Trooper Dewayne Holder, both of KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY. Story courtesy TFC Robert C.
