Before Preach Hoover, Roy Bunch carried mail to The Ridge

Sometimes he delivered on horseback, when writer remembers joining him as he made appointed rounds from Glensfork to The Ridge.

Wayne Bunch writes:
Reading the story about "Preach" Hoover brought back memories of my teenage years. Before "Preach" had the mail route my late uncle, Roy Bunch delivered mail from the Glensfork post office to the Cundiff post office on Melson Ridge. He would usually drive, but on many occasions I would join him on horseback when he traveled the back roads to Glensfork then back to the "ridge." I was probably 12-16 years old and was spending my summers in Kentucky with my uncle and aunt Ella. The article sure brought back pleasant thoughts. - Wayne Bunch
