Ann opens Cooling Shelter in Annex during extreme heat Emergency Management Director asks all Adair Countians to check in on elderly and to remember to keep plenty of water out for pets and animals By Greg Thomas During this time of extreme heat, Ann Melton, Adair County Judge Executive, has opened the basement of the Adair County Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, as a Cooling Shelter if you are having heat related problems. You are encouraged to bring your personal items such as medication and snacks. The basement is handicap accessible and at this time will be open the following time listed below.
