Ann opens Cooling Shelter in Annex during extreme heat

Emergency Management Director asks all Adair Countians to check in on elderly and to remember to keep plenty of water out for pets and animals

During this time of extreme heat, Ann Melton, Adair County Judge Executive, has opened the basement of the Adair County Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, as a Cooling Shelter if you are having heat related problems. You are encouraged to bring your personal items such as medication and snacks. The basement is handicap accessible and at this time will be open the following time listed below.
Wednesday, July 20 until 4:00pmCT
Thursday, July 21 from 8am-4pmCT
Friday, July 22 f from 8am-4pmCT
We would like to encourage you to check on your elderly neighbors and friends and remember to keep plenty of water out for your pets and animals.
