Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School

Teachers and staff at Col. Wm. Casey are going to be coming back to school this fall ready to go and much more tech savvy!! Teachers at the school spent July 19 training on new software programs that are being made available to Casey students as a result of the Camp Casey 21st Century Grant secured by the school. The programs that students will have access to are Lexia Reading, Dreambox Math, and Big Universe Literacy and Writing. These are all state of the art, individualized programs that will promote differentiation of instruction for all students at CWC.

On July 20 our own local experts trained our staff in website development, computer maintenance, mobile lab, Smartboard and iPad usage. When school starts back teachers will be able to provide interactive website access to students and their families. In addition to our classroom computers and school computer lab students will be able to access a mobile netbook lab and a mobile iPad lab.

While wiring issues prevent more extensive technology advances that other schools may be able to provide CWC is striving to provide a 21st Century education for all of its students. We invite the public to come see the future develop in our classrooms!!For more information about the 2011-2012 school year at CWC call (270) 384-3367 and be sure to visit our website at Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School, located at 220 Gen. John Adair DR, Columbia, KY 42728
