Authoritative story from the Bride to Be

As I was driving to Joe's house after visiting with my grandparents Sunday afternoon I came upon a huge sign on Green River Bridge that said, "AUBREY WILL YOU MARRY ME".

I almost wrecked, and by the time he came into my view across the bridge I was in tears. I parked my car and he was waiting on one knee with my dream ring "a ruby" and just the right words I've been waiting to hear.

Cars were honking and people wrote me for two days straight saying they saw my sign ha, i felt almost famous. Needless to say it was picture perfect. Joseph Davis is 22 and from Campbellsville currently a nursing student at CU and I, Aubrey Skutt soon to be Davis :) am 20 and a Music Education student at CU from Columbia and honestly couldn't be happier! Aubrey Skutt

One act play on way to Campbellsville University

2011-07-18 - Green River Bridge, KY 55 - Photo by Linda Waggener.
On her way to work at Campbellsville University this morning, Monday, July 18, 2011,, Linda Waggener took this HTC cell phone photo and writes: "Who is Aubrey? and will she say 'yes'? Slowed down for sign at Green River Dam Bridge in case the sign was a warning. Discovered a proposal, 'Aubrey, will you marry me?' Who is Aubrey? Who put up the sign? And what's the reply?" -Linda Waggener UPDATE, Wednesday, July 20, 2011: Aubrey Skutt-soon-to-be-Davis couldn't be happier

Aubrey said YES!

2011-07-20 - Taylor Co., KY - Photo family photos.
There was quite a scene along KY 55 at the Green River Bridge, Monday morning. A lot of people saw the sign, "AUBREY WILL YOU MARRY ME?" on the south side of the bridge, and realized something BIG could be happening. A very few cars saw Aubrey read the sign, slow down and stop when she saw Joseph Davis on the north side of the bridge and stopped the car and saw Joseph, on his knees, propose marriage, and place her dream ring, a ruby, on her hand. She said "YES!" to the applause of cars honking and high signs for a Broadway musical finale for the beginning of a happier ever after ending for this Campbellsville University music major from Columbia, Aubrey Skutt soon to be Davis, and Joseph Davis, a nursing and pre-med student, also at Campbellsville University.
