First VBS in 15 years at Breeding UMC is very successful One hundred fourteen year old church is still thriving. Some said the Vacation Bible School was the best they had ever attended. School leaders thank Columbia United Methodist Church for furnishing Bible School material Click on headline for story plus photo(s) By Miss Lemmon News from Breeding United Methodist Church, 605 Breeding Loop, Breeding, KY We had a very very successful Vacation Bible School at Breeding United Methodist Church on June 18, 2011. All those attending were: Mattie Pearson, YaYa Marsh, Benja Eastham, Maddy ?, Jakeb Lacy, Lakota Lemmon, Lukas Lemmon, Cecil Pearson, Tyler Coffey, Joey Klingburg, Liz Coffey, and Katlyn Lacy. All those wonderful volunteer helpers were: Jr and Shelia Price, Ricky and Sabine Eastham, Missy Lemmon, Gayle Harvey, Missy Harvey, Clay York, Britt Jeffries, Cole Beard, and Louise Curry. This one day event was the first Bible School that Breeding Church had has in at least 15 years. With a "Circle G Ranch Theme." The children made crafts, played games, and participated in bible study lessons, with a good old fashion camp fire and wennie roast to follow. For a small country church 12 children attending was a huge accomplishment and brought great excitement to a 114 year old church. Some children commented that it was the best Bible school they have ever attended. It was a fun filled afternoon that will be remembered for a lifetime!!!! We would also like to send a special Thank you to Columbia United Methodist Church for donating the Bible School material. Bro. Larry Lemmon would also like to take the time to invite everyone to attend. "This little old country church is still thriving and the old Church bell is rung at 9:30amCT Sunday, to start service. -Missy Lemmon This story was posted on 2011-07-11 06:00:20
