Emily Hadley, Russell Springs KY, receives Newell Scholarship Hadley attends the Free Union Separate Baptist Church Click on headline for story plus photo(s) By Cindy Clouse News from Somerset Community College Emily Hadley of Russell Springs has been awarded a W.O. and Lois Newell Scholarship to attend Somerset Community College for the fall 2011 semester. She plans to pursue a career in special education. Hadley is a 2011 graduate of Russell County High School with a 4.0 grade point average. While in high school, Hadley was a member of Future Farmers of America, Boss Club and was inducted into the National Honor Society. She is a member of Free Union Separate Baptist Church. Hadley is the daughter of Scott and Sondra Hadley of Russell Springs. The W.O. and Lois Newell Scholarship was established in 2010 from funds bequeathed by Mr. and Mrs. Newell to provide scholarships to deserving students attending SCC.
