Lonnie Duerson Holman, 81, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Burkesville, KY passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 11amCT, at Living Word Assembly of God, 1515 Albany RD, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. Jose' Anders officiating. Burial in the Coe Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-9pmCT on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY and after 9amCT, Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the church.

Lonnie Duerson Holman was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, August 24, 1929. He was the son of the late Margie Coe Holman, and the late Oscar Holman. He died Saturday, June 4, 2011, in Louisville, Jefferson CO., KY, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 11 days.

He was preceded in death by one Brother, Esau Nathaniel Holman; 3 Sisters, Dolly Olean; Isabelle Tooley; Lillie Gist Holman.Survivors include his Wife, Alberta Holman, Louisville, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Lonnie Wayne Holman of Louisville, KY; Victor Holman of Louisville, KY

  • Four daughters: Brenda Holman of Louisville, KY; Debra Howard and husband Glen of Westchester: PA; Diane Yocum of Louisville, KY; Pamela Holman of Louisville, KY

  • Two brothers: James Holman and wife Mary of Indianapolis, IN; Nello Holman of Indianapolis, IN

  • One sister: Clarine Kirk and husband Marland of Indianapolis, IN;and a host of grandchildren and nieces and nephewsBallou & Stotts Funeral Home, Burkesville, KY in charge of arrangements.
