Tracker strikes utility pole; downed lines close Liberty RD

A single vehicle accident on Liberty Road, approximately 8 miles from Columbia, resulted in downed utility lines blocking the road and necessitated redirection around the down lines while Windstream worked for several hours to clear the lines from the road.

The incident occurred this morning, Friday, June 3, 2011, at approximately 7amCT.

Jeremy Dial, 30, was operating a 1995 Geo Tracker. The vehicle drifted off the roadway, struck a utility pole head on, breaking the pole into two pieces.

The accident was investigated by the Adair County Sheriff's Office. The Adair County Search and Rescue Team provided traffic control. Information courtesy the Adair County Sheriff's Office
