ACHS Indians to Host Youth Football Camps

Cost is $45 per camper, with all money raised going to ACHS football program

By Kelli Claypool

The Indian Youth Football Camp is an experience that campers will never forget. Designed for students entering the 1st thru 8th grades for the 2011/2012 school year, each camper will learn much more than just football. By working with ACHS Football Head Coach Travis Gay, his coaching staff and players, campers will learn teamwork, consideration of others, self discipline, and how to attain their potential in sports and life. They will also learn the importance of achieving good grades and selecting the correct role models.

Campers will be instructed in all phases of football; offense, defense, and special teams (punting, snapping, and kicking).

The dates for the ACHS Youth Football Camps are:June 6-8th for Grades 4th thru 8th and June 13-15, 2011, for Grades 1st thru 3rd.

The cost is $45 per camper. The money raised during this event will be applied to the ACHS Football General Fund to pay expenses such as traveling to away games, paying officials, etc. No coaches, directors, or other personnel will be paid for their participation in this Youth Football Camp.

All campers will receive an official Adair Co. Indian Camp T-Shirt at the end of the camp and will compete in 7 on 7 competitions and a punt/pass/kick contest!

"Our goal is to teach and have fun", says Coach Gay.
