Joint operation results in two drug, weapon Arrests

Arrests made by Columbia Police Sgt. Gary Roy, Adair County Deputy Nick Hale. Other members of the CPD, Adair Co. Sheriff's Office, and Columbia/Adair Fire Department assist.

On Sunday, April 24, a joint investigation between the Columbia Police Department and the Adair County Sheriff's Department resulted in two Columbia men being arrested on drug and weapon charges.



Arrested were Erik S. Stapleton, 32, and Brandon Blair, 31, of Columbia.

Stapleton was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Blair was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Blair and Stapleton were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

Arrests were made by Sgt. Gary Roy and Deputy Nick Hale. Also assisting were other members of the Columbia Police Department and the Adair County Sheriff's Department, and the Columbia/Adair County Fire Department.
