Four injured in collision east of Liberty, KY on KY 70 By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Trooper Clint Walker is investigating a collision that occurred Friday, April 15, 2011, at approximately 12:45pmCT, on KY Hwy 70, approximately 7.6 miles east of Liberty, KY. Mildred Durham, 71, of Yosemite, KY, was operating a 2007 Ford, eastbound on Hwy 70. Ginger Elliott, 58 years of age, of Hustonville, KY, was operating a 2005 Buick, westbound on Hwy 70. Durham crossed the center line and struck Elliott's vehicle head-on. Durham was taken by EMS to Ephraim McDowell hospital, and then transported to University of Kentucky Hospital. Elliott was transported by private vehicle to Ephraim McDowell, where she was treated and released. There were two passengers in Elliott's vehicle, 81 year old Jones Lawless, and 78 year old Jean Lawless, both of Hustonville. Jones Lawless was treated and released at Ephraim McDowell. Jean Lawless was admitted to Ephraim McDowell. All parties involved were wearing seatbelts.
