Spc. Casey Melton joined the United States Army on July 7, 2007. He graduated in ASUC, November 2007, at Ft. Benning, GA.

He is the son of Jerry Melton of Glens Fork, KY. And the grandson of Herman and Madge Melton, Columbia, KY.



Spc. Melton is a graduate of Cumberland County High School, Burkesville, KY, and Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY.He was sent to Ft. Drum, NY, for advanced training with the 10th Mountain Division on December 3, 2007, and was deployed to Iraq on January 13, 2008.
