Dr. Montell lectures Spout Springs gathering on ghost stories

Dr. Lynnwood Montell set the the spirit of the season with a lecture on Ghost Stories at Giles House at Spout Springs, Knifley, KY.

Those who were fortunate to attend were treated to a lecture by the Dr. Montell, a Tompkinsville, KY, native, who is regarded as one of the leading folklorists in the United States.

The stage for Dr. Montell was the front porch of the house, which yesterday, could not have been a better place, with the fall flowers in bloom and the trees beginning to take on hues of autumn.

The event was sponsored by the Kentucky Humanities Council and the Giles Society. -CM story from information from Carrie McQueary
