Two new movies starting at the Columbian: 'The Benchwarmers' and 'The Sentinel'

Starting Friday at the Columbian Theatre we have 'The Benchwarmers', rated PG-13. 'The Benchwarmers' will play nightly at 6:00 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm only.

Also starting Friday at the Columbian Theatre will be 'The Sentinel', rated PG-13. 'The Sentinel' will play nightly at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 4:00 pm only.


'The Benchwarmers' Synopsis* Gus and his nerdy buddies, Richie and Clark, are scouted by a millionaire nerd, Mel, who wants to form a baseball team and compete with the meanest Little League teams in the state. A stellar ballplayer, Gus becomes a role model for nerds and outcasts everywhere. But when his fans learn that Gus, himself, was once a school bully, they feel outraged and betrayed, until Gus takes extraordinary steps to win back their admiration and trust.

'The Sentinel' Synopsis* Pete Garrison is the most decorated agent in the history of theSecret Service - the president's last line of defense. But now, wronglysuspected of targeting the president for assassination, Garrison has become the Service's worst nightmare. As he uses his formidable skills to try and prove his innocence and find the real assassin, Garrison is tracked by his equally adept former protg.
