Change in Kentucky Vehicle Inspections process By Sheriff Gary Roy Adair County Sheriff's Office The State of Kentucky is mandating that all vehicle inspections are to be submitted electronically, so starting June 1, 2026, we will no longer be able to do vehicle inspections on the paper VTR's, we will have to submit them directly to the Adair County Clerk's Office. The inspection process will not change, nor will the fees associated with inspections. So please be patient as we navigate our way through the IPADs as we do these inspections for you. Thank You.
