ACSO: Complaint leads to arrest in Knifley area

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Adair County Sheriff's Deputy Josh Durbin responded to the Knifley area in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint. The vehicle was located, and the driver, a woman from Mississippi, was charged with traffic violations and possession.


Kristi L. Ables, age 60, of Mississippi, was arrested and on the following charges:
  • No Registration Plates
  • Failure to produce insurance card
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of controlled substance 3rd drug unspecified
  • No operators license
