Adair Co. Schools Summer Feeding Program starts June 1

All children ages 1 - 18 years old who are residents are encouraged to participate in the Adair Co. Schools Summer Feeding Program. There will be two free options for the Summer Feeding Program in 2026:
  • 1) ANY parent/guardian or child (18 and under) who resides in Adair County can come get a free 5-day meal kit for breakfast and lunch at the Adair County Primary Center on June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23, and July 30, 2026.

  • 2) Hot meals will be provided at Adair County Elementary School and Adair County Middle School beginning June 1, 2026.
Parents and children are asked to participate in one program or the other, but not both. Registration is not necessary for the in-person hot meals, but registration is required to sign up for the weekly pickups, at forms.gle/rwM3yUSrp4BGuQNr8.

In-person Hot Meals:
Hot meals will be provided at Adair County Elementary School and Adair County Middle School beginning June 1, 2026:
  • Adair County Elementary School, 870 Indian Dr, Columbia, KY, Monday through Thursday, June 1-25, 2026, Breakfast from 8amCT to 8:45amCT, and Lunch from 10:30amCT to 11:15amCT.

  • Adair County Middle School, 322 General John Adair Dr, Columbia, KY, Monday through Thursday, June 1-18, 2026. Breakfast from 8amCT to 8:30amCT, and lunch from 11:15amCT to 11:45amCT.

Bulk pick up meal kits:
Bulk pick up meal kits with 5 days of breakfast and 5 days of lunch with one pickup each Thursday from 2:30pmCT to 4:30pmCT at Adair County Primary Center, 158 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY.

2026 Pick-up dates: June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23, and July 30, 2026.

All food items are either pre-packaged or require minimal cooking, and each meal kit will consist of the following meal components:
  • Breakfast - Entrees (grain-based), a fruit or juice serving
  • Lunch - Entrees (grain and meat), fruit, vegetable
  • One Gallon 2% Milk per child
Please remember that only the children listed on the registration form will receive a meal kit. If you are choosing to participate in this program, you should not get meals from another open site which serves hot meals.
