Low score of 60 wins 15th Adair FD-Pinewood Crusade Invitational

The team of Bill Straitor, Scott Bennett, Danny Skaggs, and Steve Burton took first place honors in the 2006 Adair County Fire Department Pinewood Country Club Invitational Golf Tournament.

The winners had a low score of 60.


The tournament was played on a flawless Sunday, April 23, 2006, with a light breeze under nearly cloudless skies, on one of Kentucky's most beautiful courses.

Tournament has 84 competing for top prize of $400

Eighty-four competitors paid $25 each to enter. Out of the $2,100 in entry fees, prizes for the top winning teams were paid in the amounts of $400, $200, and $100.

The second place winners, with a score of 62 were Bo Biggs, Tommy Arnett, Barry Myers, and Stephen Dpver.

A total of four teams tied for third place with a score of 63. In the playoff, the team of Jerry Rogers, Todd Wilson, Terry Allen, and Rob Hundley were the winners.

All proceeds from the event go to the Crusade for Children.

15th Annual Fire Department Crusade Golf Invitational draws 84 entrants



2006-04-25 - Pinewood Country Club, Columbia, KY - Photo Staff. The Crusade for Children logo hung from the top of the Columbia-Adair County Fire Department Ladder Truck No. 1 at the Sunday, April 23, 2006 event. Eighty four golfers entered the tournament.
