Fiscal Court meeting a positive, thankful one

The April, 2026 regular Adair County Fiscal Court meeting was a special one. Every member of the Court - Magistrates, Judge, Deputy Judge, Clerk, County attorney, Sheriff, Treasurer and Jailer, were in agreement on one thing - thank God, not a single one of the first responders was hurt in the Monday, April 20, standoff and shootings that kept everyone focused on the tragedy that unfolded throughout that day.

It was an honor to be present at this meeting and witness that it is possible for our County leadership to get along and focus on service to residents.

Moving swiftly through the business of the meeting, the awards were then presented with honors. The meeting closed on the positive and thankful notes that kept everyone riveted and and giving a standing ovation to all first responders.
