As springtime returns to the Bluegrass and visitors flock to communities across the commonwealth, Kentucky Living magazine invites fellow Kentuckians to help spotlight the people, places and experiences that make Kentucky special year-round.

Kentucky Living's annual Best in Kentucky Awards shine a light on the commonwealth's standout restaurants, destinations, people and more across 30 categories, ranging from Best Local TV Personality to Best Bourbon to Best Place for Adventure. Voting opens May 1, 2026, and Kentuckians are encouraged to visit KentuckyLiving.com to cast their votes and recognize Kentucky's best.

Columbia's own The Green River Band is one of three finalists for Best Kentucky Musician or Band this year, up against a couple of big Nashville names that still claim their Kentucky roots, Tyler Childers and JD Shelburne.

Campbellsville has lots of names in the running for 2026. WVLC 99.9's Larry Smith is nominated again in the Local Radio Host category, Campbellsville Main Street is in the running for Downtown Shopping District, Druther's Restaurant is nominated for Breakfast Place, Harden Coffee for Coffee Shop, and Brothers is nominated for Barbecue. Campbellsville also has 2 of 3 Food Truck finalists, The 5,000, and Pappy's.

Sulphur Well's Lighthouse Restaurant is one of three finalists for Down-Home Restaurant.

All Kentuckians are encouraged to cast their votes on KentuckyLiving.com from May 1-31, 2026. The ballot lists three finalists from nominations submitted by readers in February. Winners will be announced during the Best in Kentucky Awards Show on August 19 on YouTube, Facebook and KentuckyLiving.com, and will also be showcased in the September issue of Kentucky Living, both in print and on KentuckyLiving.com.
