Nickel selected for prestigious tourism marketing scholarship Paige Nickel, Executive Director of the Adair County Tourism Commission, has been selected by the Kentucky Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (KACVB) as the recipient of the 2025 Tom Heleringer Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College Scholarship. The scholarship provides Nickel the opportunity to attend the renowned Southeast Tourism Society (STS) Marketing College, a premier educational program designed for tourism professionals committed to advancing their careers in destination marketing. The program will be held in Macon from May 29 through June 5, 2025. STS Marketing College is widely recognized across the tourism industry for its intensive, multi-day curriculum that equips participants with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills. Through a series of immersive sessions, attendees gain expertise in destination branding, social media marketing, visitor segmentation, and emerging trends shaping the travel and tourism landscape. "This is an incredible honor and opportunity," said Nickel. "Tourism is constantly evolving, and programs like STS Marketing College ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
