Kenneth Wayne Underwood, 78, Taylor County, KY Kenneth Wayne Underwood of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Carl Bloyd Underwood and Mary Kathryn Wright Underwood, was born on Thursday, April 22, 1948 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026. He was 78 years and 4 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He worked as an insurance salesman for many years for Transamerica Life Insurance Company, formerly known as Monumental Life. He was a former member of Okolona Street Rods Club. He was united in marriage to Shirley Patterson Underwood on September 1, 2012, who preceded him in death on October 15, 2023. Survivors include his son: Shannon Wayne Underwood of Ashland; special friends: Dallas Payton, Amy Watson, Shawn Myers, and Tim Akin all of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Charles Underwood. The funeral service for Kenneth Wayne Underwood will be conducted at 12noonCT Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Bro. Roger Robertson officiating. Visitation is requested after 9 Wednesday at the funeral home until time of the service.
