Kathy Wells, Taylor County, KY Kathy Wells of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Garnett Rice and Virginia Durrett Rice, was born September 5, 1947, in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 1:32 P.M., Thursday, April 23, 2026 in Campbellsville. Age: 78 Kathy had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church. She was a retired schoolteacher at Taylor County Elementary School. Kathy united in marriage to Wayne Wells December 27, 1966. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and dedicated her life to her family. Kathy loved to winter in Florida and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Besides her husband, Wayne Wells of Campbellsville, Kathy is survived by one son and two daughters: Rob Wells and wife, Mary of Danville, Amy Hyde of Crestwood and Jenny Hughes and husband, John of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Ashton Brock and husband, Nate, Trinity Wells and fiance, Hank McArthur, Nick Hyde, Jack Hughes, Lauren Buscher and husband, Chad and Alex Hughes and wife, Abigale; two great-grandchildren: Alton Brock and Oliver Hughes; one brother, Randy Rice and wife, Margaret of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law: Joy Tarter and husband, Donald of Dunnville and Joberta Wells of Yosemite; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
