Dave Santee, 59, Russell County, KY

David "Dave" Santee, of Russell Springs, passed away Monday April 6, 2026, at Russell County Hospital. He was 59 years of age.

Born July 16, 1966, in Fort Gordon, Georgia, he was a son of the late Frank and Negia Brown Santee. Dave was a dedicated truck driver for over 17 years and was currently employed at Stephen's Pipe and Steel at the time of his passing. He was known for his big sense of humor and his love of making people laugh.

He was also a talented musician who enjoyed playing live music on weekends. Dave collected guns, took pride in his cooking, and found relaxation in fishing. His passion for woodworking and restoring old pieces of wood showed through in his many projects.

Dave cherished the outdoors, spending vacations camping and hiking whenever he could. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and he always looked forward to family game nights, which were filled with laughter and fun.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Santee; three sons, David Eric (and Michaela) Santee, of Russell Springs, Steven (and Stephanie) Santee, of Eubank, and Nathaniel Davis, of Russell Springs; his "mom", Doris Santee, of Indianapolis, Indiana, a sister, Penny Tumey, of Indianapolis, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Isabella Santee, William Santee, and Raylee Santee.

A Memorial service will be held at 1pmCT Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Abney and Bro. Mike Howell officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until time of services.
