Celia DeMers Williams, 83, Green County, KY Celia Ann DeMers Williams, age 83 of the Summersville, passed away Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026 surrounded by her family at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown after a long fight against cancer. She was born on November 11, 1942 in Bellflower, California, a daughter of the late Clayton "Robbie" Robinson and Florence "Betty" Thomas. Celia was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Williams of Campbellsville and two brothers, Steve Robinson of Santa Rosa, California and Casey Robinson of Ojai, California. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mount Union Church in the Summersville Community of Green County. She enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, gardening, and spending time with her pets, children, and grandchildren. Celia is survived by five sons: Brian (Debbie) DeMers of Midway, KY, Daniel (Julie) DeMers of Tampa, Florida, David (Monique) DeMers of Columbus, Texas, Michael (Vanessa) DeMers of Indianapolis, Indiana and Stephen (Elaine) DeMers of Summersville, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. The funeral service will be 1 pm Central Time Monday, April 6, 2026 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Mike Ash officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Union Cemetery. The visitation will be from 10amCT until the funeral time at 1pmCT at the funeral home. Celia's family will serve as pallbearers. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the George and Celia Williams Scholarship Endowment at Lindsey Wilson College. This story was posted on 2026-04-05 15:56:43
