Virginia Lou Curry, 86, Green County, KY Virginia Lou Sweeney Curry of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rev. Walter Gray Sweaney and Annie Vera Lane Sweaney, was born on Saturday, July 1, 1939 and departed this life on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was 86 years, 8 months and 27 days of age. She was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She united in marriage to William Jerry Curry on June 27, 1975 and preceded her in death on September 1, 2013. Survivors include two daughters: Karen Lane Curry of Summersville and companion, Archie Lane Akin, and Kathy Lynn Miller and husband, Danny of Georgia; two grandchildren: Bradley and Sara Miller, and Derron and Sarah Miller all of Georgia; three great-grandchildren: Katherine Grace Miller, Miles Maverick Miller, and Scottie Rae Miller all of Georgia; sister-in-law: Stella Ann Durrett of Green County; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Curry was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ruth Lane Sweeney and Beulah Elizabeth Sweaney. The funeral services for Virginia Lou Sweeney Curry will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lane Cemetery. Bro. Tracy Moon officiating. Visitation is requested after 9amCT, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
