ACSO: Traffic stop leads to drug charges

Adair County Sheriff's Office

Adair County Sheriff's Deputies made a traffic stop on April 1, 2026, that resulted in the arrest of two Columbia people on charges including possession and DUI.

The arrests were made by Deputy Josh Durbin and Chief Deputy Brandon Hitch, who were assisted on scene by Officers Bunch and Ginn of the Columbia Police Department.


Brandon Frausto, age 32, of Columbia, was charged with the following:
  • Rear license plate not illuminated
  • Operating motor vehicle under the influence
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
Kristina Cooper, age 29, of Columbia was charged with the following:
  • Public Intoxication
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Promoting contraband 1st degree
  • Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
