Phyllis Lee Hulse, 70, Cumberland County, KY Phyllis Lee (Harris) Hulse of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, having attained the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 12 days. She was born on Saturday December 10, 1955 in Burkesville, Kentucky to Ransom and Mary Ruth (Barger) Harris. She was of the Christian faith and spent her life as a devoted homemaker, faithfully caring for those she loved. Phyllis had a passion for sewing, quilting, and embroidery, and her home was often filled with the fruits of her labor through her cooking and canning. While she enjoyed shopping, nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Hulse, whom she wed on Sunday April 8, 1975; siblings, Bobby Harris, Bill Harris, Timmy Harris and Mary Ann Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Brianna (& Clifford) Copas, Karen (& Chris) Burns, both of Burkesville, Kentucky; siblings, Paul (& Mary) Harris of Albany, Kentucky, Carlie Harris of Burkesville, Kentucky, Tony (& Melissa) Harris of Burkesville, Kentucky, Bessie Slaughter of Albany, Kentucky, Patty (& Tracy) Burden of Lexington, Kentucky; aunt, Lizzie Stearns of Albany, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Patsy Harris of Burkesville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jaden Burns, and Kolton Burns. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2pmCT in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 beginning at 5 until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery.
