Eva Thompson, 76, Taylor County, KY

Eva Thompson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Eugene Vernon Atwood and Evarene Followell Atwood, was born April 13, 1949 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died Sunday, March 22, 2026 in Campbellsville at age 76.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Truth Tabernacle.


Eva united in marriage to George Phillip Thompson August 19, 1967 and he preceded her in death September 14, 2015.

Eva was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to helping her family.

She is survived by three sons: Jason Thompson, and Mark Thompson of Campbellsville, and Chris Thompson and wife, Renee of Lebanon; three grandchildren: Jonathan Thompson, Amber Thompson, and Austin Thompson; two brothers and two sisters: Gene Atwood and wife, Velma of Campbellsville, Sandra Jeffries and husband, Thurmy of Greensburg, Vernon Atwood and wife, Lana, and Trisha Adams of Florida; one sister-in-law, Nancy Atwood of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Margaret was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Atwood.
