Basketball: Indians fall to Taylor Co. in District final By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer On February 27, 2026, the Adair County Indians Boys Varsity Basketball team fell to Taylor County Cardinals 68-50 in the 20th District Final hosted at Campbellsville High School. The Tribe struggled to score the basketball with the team having just one double digit scorer, Tylin George, with 19 points. Landon Blakey and Dawson Gilbert followed in scoring with eight each. Blakey and George also led the team in rebounds, with 10 and six respectively. The team struggled shooting the ball, going 40% from the floor and 22% from three point range. The Indians will need to improve their distance shooting going into the Regional Tournament after shooting a combined 19% from three during the two games of the 20th District Tournament. The Indians will face Bardstown (14-14) in the first round of the 5th Region Tournament hosted at Green County High School on Thursday, March 5, 2026. This story was posted on 2026-03-02 18:30:17
