Jack D. Brummett, 80, Glens Fork, KY (1946-2026)

Jack Davis Brummett of Glens Fork peacefully passed away on February 28, 2026, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was 80 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday after 10amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


Born on January 5, 1946, in Glens Fork, Kentucky, Jack lived a life rich with faith, love, and dedication to his wife Ann.

Throughout his life, Jack exemplified the values of hard work and commitment, particularly evident in his career as a machinist. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Jack's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both challenges and joys.

In his younger years, Jack found joy at the lake and in hunting, where he created lasting memories. Later in life, his heart was warmly devoted to tending to his cows on the farm. These simple pleasures brought him immense joy, reflecting his connection to nature and his love for the land.

Jack's greatest treasure was spending time with Ann, the love of his life. Their bond was a true testament to love and companionship, and he cherished every moment they shared together.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Brummett; his sister-in-law, Barbara Brummett; his caregiver and nephew, Matthew Brummett; and his niece, Susan Brummett Miller.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Sam, and Esther Grant Brummett; his brother, Jimmie Brummett; and his sister, Lois Davis. Their memories will continue to live on through the stories shared by those who loved them.

Jack Davis Brummett's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
