Adair Co Schools mourn the loss of ACES student From Jason Faulkner, Superintendent Adair County Public Schools The Adair County Public Schools family is deeply saddened to share the passing of Tate Akin, a fourth-grade student at Adair County Elementary School. Tate passed away following an illness. Tate was a valued member of the Adair County school community and will be greatly missed by his classmates, teachers, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Tate's family and loved ones. In support of our students and staff, Adair County Public Schools will have additional counselors and support staff available at the elementary school over the coming days. We encourage parents and guardians to speak with their children and reach out to the school if additional support is needed. The Adair County school community asks that everyone keep Tate's family in their prayers during this profound loss. This story was posted on 2026-03-01 21:27:02
