George Conover Overstreet celebrates birthday number 11 Happy birthday to George Conover Overstreet who turns 11 on April 16, from his dad, Donald Keith Overstreet who wrote to us from his base in Japan. George currently lives in Schertz, TX with mother Michelle. He is the grandson of Joyce M. Coomer and Donald M. Overstreet of Columbia. George is in the 5th grade at Barbara C. Jordan Intermediate School, Shertz, TX. His roots are in the Pellyton area of Adair County and he gets to come back about once a year during the summer. Photos that accompany this note show George doing some major fishing in Adair County on his last visit. His Dad says "he had a blast, we fished every day, fished in lakes, creeks, rivers, and ponds between Pellyton and Sonora." Keith has one more year of service left before going on to his next base. He says, "The Japanese are the most polite people I've ever met, and I've been to about 33 countries."
