4-H Summer Camp registration begins Feb 2 By Tony Rose County Extension Agent for 4-H Youth Development On June 2-5, 2026, Youth from Adair County will go to 4-H Camp at Lake Cumberland with 4-H'ers from Green, Taylor, and Wayne Counties. The total cost of Camp is $350.00, which includes lodging, meals, etc. There is a new procedure for signing up youth for 4-H Camp in 2026. For a youth to have a spot held for camp this year, the camp packet must be filled out completely and returned with a $100 deposit. Camp Packets are available at the Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. Final payment is due by May 1, 2026. There will be camp scholarships available for youth who need assistance with the camp fee. Scholarship applications to attend 4-H camp are available upon request. ALL CAMPERS will be required to pay the $100.00 non-fundable deposit upon registration to secure a spot. There are camping spots for approximately 25 boys & 60 girls. Campers will participate in activities such as swimming, boating, archery, hiking, crafts, outdoor education, folk games, campfires, group sports, and more. Youth will make new friends and learn more about citizenship, leadership, & getting along with others. We will leave on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and return on Friday, June 5, 2026. The 4-H Agent will attend the entire camp along with several adult and teen leaders from Adair County. The group will travel via Adair County School buses with regular bus drivers driving.
