Adair Chamber, Tourism and EDA in Lexington

From Adair Tourism Director Paige Nickel

Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Economic Development were represented at the 31st annual Kentucky Chamber Day dinner in Lexington Thursday. It is an event to celebrate businesses and services, and to focus on how state government is working in their interest.

Starting the program was KET's Renee Shaw, Miss Kentucky sang My Ole Kentucky Home and Adair County's own Hilda Legg led the prayer. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear came onto the stage to a Tyler Childers song and gave a great speech.

Taylor County had reason to be proud of its representation at Thursday's State Chamber Day event. Campbellsville University was represented by staff members Josh Switzer, Moochie Hart, Trevor McWhorter and Devin Hughes. CU was also represented in the fact that the State Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ashli Watts is a CU aluma, as is the University's Board Chair, Hilda Legg.
