Water discoloration said to be soap, not antifreeze While the neon green color that leaked into Town Creek on New Year's Day had the appearance of antifreeze, it is reported to have been a type of soap used by the Carwash near the corner of Campbellsville and Fairground Streets which turns the water color green. The report of the leak was made by the Carwash to Frankfort so that an MSDS sheet will be available to the city. The environmental response team, division of water, Frankfort, is investigating. Columbia Adair Utilities District reports that this Town Creek water is not part of our drinking water system. Anything that leaks into the creek cannot get into the water system because it is pulled directly from Green River Reservoir. The creek water is not used for our drinking water.
