Margie Rigsby Barnes, 90, Jamestown, KY

Margie Rigsby Barnes, 90, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, November 30th, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Willow Shade, KY on June 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Flolene (Sartin) and William Thomas Rigsby.

She was a longtime educator, Russell County School board member, and a member of the Russell chapter 432 order of the Eastern Star.


Margie is survived by

two sons B.B, Barnes (Paula), and Brad Barnes, both of Jamestown, KY.

three brothers, Bobby Rigsby, of Edmonton, KY, Otis Rigsby, of Willow Shade, KY, Kermit Ray Rigsby, of IN.

She is also survived by 1 granddaughter Jalena Bryant (Garrett) and 2 great grandchildren Jacklyn Rae and Barrett William Bryant, as well a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbur Barnes, brother Wesley Keith Rigsby and sister Martha Jane Hargis.

Funeral Service will be held at 11amCT on Saturday, December 6th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. John Davis officiating.

Public Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pmCT on Friday, December 5th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY. Eastern Star Service will be Friday at 7 by the Russell chapter 432 order of the Eastern Star at the funeral home.

Burial in the Wheat Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.

Family requests memorial donations to the Wilbur and Margie Barnes Educational Fund and can be made at the funeral home, or mailed to Jalena Barnes Bryant, 149 Helm Landing Rd., Jamestown, KY 42629.
