Basketball: Lady Indians open season against Lady Panthers

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

Adair County Lady Indians Basketball is back! The Tribe returns to the court after a long off season tonight, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, as they take on the Cumberland County Lady Panthers at home.

The Lady Indians come off a very successful 17-13 season that saw them wrap up in the 5th Region Tournament. The Lady Panthers, on the other hand, went 19-8 last year and also saw an exit in the first round of the region tournament. The Lady Indians return almost everyone that they ended with last season, not losing any of the their top six scorers. Meanwhile, Cumberland County did not graduate a single senior and looks to return all of their scoring from last year. The Lady Indians will seek to fare better than they did last year when they faced Cumberland County where the Tribe fell 70-37 on the road.

Come out and support your Lady Indians as they embark on the 2025-2026 season tonight. The girls tip off at 5:30pmCT, followed by the boys at 7pmCT, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. One ticket grants entry to both games, and tickets can be purchased online at hometownticketing.com.
