Fugate completes Basic Training at Fort Sill Jacob Fugate of Columbia, KY, proudly graduated from United States Army Basic Combat Training on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Fugate will now continue his military career at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, where he will begin Advanced Individual Training to become a Combat Medic--known in the Army as a 68 Whiskey. He is a 2024 graduate of Adair County High School, where he earned his EMT certification, was selected as a Governor's Scholar, and completed numerous other academic accomplishments. He was known for his determination, strong work ethic, and exceptional character, qualities that have continued to guide him through the challenges of Army training. Jacob is the son of Andrew and Casey Fugate of Columbia, KY, and the brother of Catelynn Fugate.
